An American Bride in Germany

I'm having the most difficult time finding a cute blue dress for our court house wedding in Germany. I originally wanted something a bit Audrey Hepburn in “Funny Face”, or perhaps Jackie Kennedy inspired.




But I've realized, while they were both style icons, I am neither Audrey nor Jackie. I am Amanda, and I should stay true to me for my wedding(s). I don't want to look back in 20-50 years and say to myself, “what was I thinking?”

I think this dress is cute and very me, but not quite special enough for a wedding:



Then I saw this super cute sailor/vintage inspired dress and fell in love:



But it's sold out :-(
